Philip qualified with an Essex based practice in 1985, achieving the highest marks in the professional examinations amongst candidates from East Anglia.

He has specialised in personal and corporation taxation matters since 1988 when he moved to the Bury St Edmunds office of a national firm and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
