From an agricultural background, Roger worked in industry and qualified as a Chartered Accountant before opening a professional office in Bury St Edmunds, which merged with Whiting & Partners in 1997. He is a general practitioner with particular interest in the farming industry. |

| Away from the Bury St. Edmunds office, he enjoys sport and country pursuits. Many years ago he played a season's first class cricket for Essex and later represented Cambridgeshire. | |
