After his degree Ian enjoyed a short period working in the banking sector before making the decision to train for his ACA qualification, which saw him re-join Whiting & Partners and go on to pass all his exams on the first attempt.
“it wasn’t a decision I took lightly, to make the switch from IT to accountancy, but it has put me in a fantastic position as an advisor. There is nothing more satisfying than being there and able to help a new business get off the ground”.
Outside the office Ian enjoys a range of activities including golf (although his golfing ability has been described by some as ‘not his strongest asset’), mountain biking and jogging. Ian also maintains an interest in computer programming, now as a part time amateur.
