Barbara joined the firm as a tax specialist in 1990. She began her career with the Inland Revenue, before 'crossing the fence' to work for a London firm and then a 'Big 4' firm in Cambridge. She is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians. As such, she deals solely with tax-related |

| issues and has a considerable depth of expertise in matters relating to Lloyds Underwriters, share incentive schemes, non-resident and non-domiciled individuals and the taxation of trusts. She is involved extensively in tax planning advice to minimise clients' exposure to both capital gains tax and inheritance tax. | |
| Although based in our March office, Barbara's expertise is in demand throughout the firm and she makes regular trips to all offices to provide this specialist service to the firm's entire client base. | |
| Outside of work, Barbara is a mother to 2 teenage daughters and tries to make time for the occasional game of tennis. She also serves as a Governor at a local junior school. | |
