Established in 1928 Whiting & Partners is a medium-sized independent accountancy practice.  We primarily help individuals in East Anglia start and run their own SME business.  Whiting & Partners currently employ approximately 160 staff and have 14 Partners. We have 11 locations across East Anglia.

 

We are looking for an experienced payroll processor to work in our busy payroll bureau in our Ely office.

 

We are looking for someone who has recent experience (min one year) of working in a payroll bureau, experienced in processing different pay frequencies for different businesses as well as furlough calculations.

 

The ideal candidate would:

 

  • Be local and have, good general computer skills e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Experience of Brightpay, although not essential.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to change and deliver under the pressure of deadlines
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a confident approach to dealing with clients on the telephone .
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • The confidence and knowledge to work independently with an organised approach to complex assignments.
  • Able to follow standard procedures.
  • An eye for detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • A deferential and personable nature essential for communication at all levels within the firm as well as communication with clients at a professional level.

 

Please note this job is for a long-term role processing payrolls, there will be no accounts work involved.
